September’s Sessions:

Developing a Mental Health & Wellbeing Strategy with Barry Fitzpatrick

It’s now quoted that 1 in 3 of UK adults suffer from Mental Ill Health. This costs UK business over 90 million absentee days and £15 billion per annum. Yet many organisations have little to no employee wellbeing strategy and in those that do, many are found to be unfit for purpose.

Join Barry Fitzpatrick, MD of Route 80/37 to discuss where to start when developing a holistic ‘Mental Health & Wellbeing Strategy’ for your business. We will cover everything from where to start for a business that is just beginning down this path, all the way to organisations who have an established policy in place that might need a fresh approach.

Creative Problem Solving with Rod Webb

In his book, The Art of Thought, published in 1926, Graham Wallas (building on the work on Herman von Helmholtz) came up with a four stage model to represent the creative thinking process.

In this session, we’ll explore an adapted version of this to model the process of creative problem solving process in the workplace. We’ll explore why each part of the process is important, the links to continuous improvement and how to use each part of the process to best effect to achieve real creativity and innovation.

Using Nature to Enhance Learning with Nicki Davey

Nature sharpens the senses, focuses the thinking, opens the heart and soothes the spirit. When learners are connected with nature their willingness, capacity and ability to learn is significantly increased. As trainers we can create more valuable, effective learning experiences by harnessing the power of nature.

In this session you'll discover:

  • How nature affects learners and increases their capacity to learn.

  • How to incorporate nature into your training in order to create lasting and powerful learning.

You'll leave with a clear understanding of the value of nature as a key learning tool and lots of practical ideas and tools for incorporating nature into your own training.
