Personal Effectiveness and Work Life Integration with Andrew Kitton

“There is never enough time to do everything, but there is always enough time to do the most important things.” Brian Tracy, effectiveness expert.

This is probably true. The trouble is, identifying what the most important things are. What do you need to achieve to make sure you feel your personal life and your work life are both successful? Once identified, how do you ensure you are motivated and energised to complete these tasks, whilst getting the balance between work and home life?

In this session, Andrew will share some tips and best practices, to help you gain focus on what you want to achieve and how you can integrate personal effectiveness into your work and home life.

The session will cover:

  • What do you want to achieve - at work and in your personal life?

  • Developing a positive mindset.

  • Setting simple goals to create focus for the day.

  • Using your personal energy levels to help with productivity.

  • Tackling procrastination to help you feel more motivated.

  • Setting work/home boundaries.

Authority vs Freedom with Rod Webb

Do you know managers who micro-manage to the extent that they suffocate their team’s enthusiasm and ability? Or managers who over empower inexperienced teams, leading to mistakes and team members feeling out of their depth, disorientated and de-motivated?

In this session, I’ll introduce you to the Tannenbaum/Schmidt Continuum, if you’re not already familiar with it, and we’ll use this to explore where managers go wrong and identify when it’s appropriate to give control and authority to teams, and to what extent.

By the end of the session, you’ll :

  • Be familiar with this newly revised module in Trainers’ Library.

  • Understand why it’s important to delegate authority appropriately.

  • Describe when it’s appropriate to delegate authority, and to what extent.
