Discovery Day

Our Discovery Days give you a fantastic opportunity to network with other professional trainers, share ideas, develop your own skills and knowledge, and experience some of the newest training materials in Trainers’ Library.

To ensure a truly engaging, participative learning experience, every Discovery Day is limited to 12 places. Please book early to avoid disappointment.

What to Expect:

Our Discovery Days are a friendly, informal gathering where you can:

  • Gain new insights and knowledge.

  • Learn new techniques that will help you when designing or delivering training.

  • Keep up to date with new activities in Trainers’ Library.

  • Share your ideas and help others develop their knowledge and skills.

  • Gain support, feedback and inspiration from other professionals in the Learning and Development industry.

February’s Sessions:

Menopause Awareness with Pauline Weddell

The menopause is a topic that, for a long time, has been taboo and often swept under the carpet even though it is just a natural part of every woman’s life. In this session you’ll begin to understand menopause better and what support women who are going through this process, might need.

By the end of this session, you should be able to:

  1. 1. Understand what the menopause is and how it can affect women’s lives. (As well as debunk some of the common myths about the menopause.

  2. Outline why it is important to raise awareness of the menopause in the workplace and the business case for supporting women employees who may be experiencing menopausal symptoms that affect the way they work.

  3. Identify ways to support women at work who go through the menopause.

Employee Engagement - The How and the Why with Louise Holloway

In this interactive session we’ll be looking at what employee engagement is, how different employees experience it differently, and why understanding where employees are now is important before looking to improve it.

A Change Journey with Rod Webb

New years often usher in strategic change so the first Discovery Day of 2023 is an opportune moment to reflect on the journey that change involves and how we, and others react to it?

Do you find change easier when you’re in control; in the driving seat? How does it feel as a passenger? In this module we’ll explore feelings towards change and how we can make the journey easier for ourselves and those around us, making it more likely we’ll successfully reach the destination together.
