February’s Sessions:

Leap of Faith with Rod Webb

In this module we’ll explore beliefs and how they impact both our own behaviours and the way we interpret and judge the behaviour of others. And how that can lead to misunderstanding, confusion, conscious or unconscious bias and even conflict.

What assumptions will you form about others based on what you see or hear?

The Five Dysfunctions of a Team with Ric Hayden

The Five Dysfunctions of a Team helps us identify and overcome the five root causes that lead to a team's failure. An absence of trust, a fear of conflict, a lack of commitment, avoidance of accountability, and inattention to results, are the five dysfunctions of why teams so often struggle.

During this Discovery Session we will take time to understand the model and take part in a small activity around creating a team charter. All information that you can take away and use directly after the session.

Using Systems to Make a Difference with Nicki Davey

When we try to pick out anything by itself, we find it hitched to everything else in the Universe.” John Muir

We are all part of an open system where everything is interconnected and interdependent – including the individuals, teams and organisations that we work with. Whilst this complexity can make planning and problem solving challenging, if we recognise and harness the systems that we, our clients, or our workplaces are part of, and we understand the connections that make up those systems, we can generate impactful and positive change – within the organisation and beyond.

In this session, nature will be our primary teacher as Nicki draws on the principles of ecosystems in nature to explore and understand the systems approach. We’ll complete various practical, participative activities that will help you to…

  • Recognise the extent of your own personal impact through using the 3 degrees of influence.

  • Use the connections in your own system to make a positive difference in your organisation and beyond.

  • Apply a systems approach to your work in order to generate positive outcomes.

If you’d like to host a one-hour session at a future Discovery Day, on a learning related topic you’re passionate about, I’d love to here from you. Please get in touch!
